Chia Seed Pudding

Chia Seed Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1 cup almond milk or coconut milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Fresh berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • Sliced almonds or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl or glass jar, combine chia seeds and almond milk (or coconut milk). Stir well to prevent clumping.
  2. Add honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir again to evenly distribute the sweetener and flavor.
  3. Cover the bowl or jar with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. During this time, the chia seeds will absorb the liquid and create a pudding-like consistency.
  4. After the pudding has set, give it a good stir to break up any clumps and ensure a smooth texture.
  5. Serve the chia seed pudding in individual serving dishes or jars.
  6. Top the pudding with a variety of fresh berries and sliced almonds or chopped nuts for added crunch and flavor.
  7. Enjoy the chia seed pudding as a healthy breakfast, snack, or dessert.

Chia seed pudding is not only delicious but also rich in fiber, healthy fats, and antioxidants. It's a versatile recipe that you can customize by adding different toppings like granola, coconut flakes, or dried fruits.
