Creamy Chicken Alfredo

Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (a blend of dried oregano, basil, thyme, and rosemary)

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or your favorite pasta

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they're cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

  6. Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

  7. Season the Alfredo sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.

  8. Slice the cooked chicken breasts.

  9. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.

  10. Plate the pasta and top with sliced chicken breasts.

  11. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

  12. Serve the Creamy Chicken Alfredo immediately, offering a delightful combination of tender chicken, silky Alfredo sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta.
